As some readers are likely familiar with, hours could be spent on these kinds of websites with no "prizes" to show for after taking the surveys. In order to claim the supposed "prizes," users were then directed to fill out a seemingly endless number of surveys with constant promises of other winnings. "Congratulations you won 2 samsung 60 inch tv and a $1000 walmart gift card," the website claimed. Once users commented under the scammers' posts about the fake Walmart televisions giveaway, they were directed to a website. I was able to get this resolved within 5 mins telling them I had pictures and videos of the phone working as well as had it inspected at a t-mobile store. It has a verified badge next to its name, which means that it's an authentic page.) Text saying it was damaged and would be paying the full 36 or something a month for 24 months. (The official Walmart Facebook page is /walmart. The scam may have been connected to this Facebook profile. This was not an official Facebook page for Walmart. We found several with this name, but zeroed in on this one in particular: /walmartfans. 2 months, 600 additional charge automatically taken out on my debit card and I still dont have my phone back. They take still screen shots, doesnt prove its your phone. The fake giveaway for televisions was hosted by a page named Walmart Fans. Samsung operates on advertising higher values on your phone and reject the trade-in, saying it didnt meet expectations. ![]() We don't want them to go to waste, so we'll send them randomly to people who have shared and commented before 20 May.
